Prototype: Class 47, 47840 NORTH STAR in Intercity swallow livery circa early 1990's
Construction: Bought second hand as a standard Heljan class 47 in 2 tone green. D.J.Parkins' (MMP) super detailed kits to replace bogies, underfloor, and full cab interiors painstakingly fitted. Body stripped with nickel silver etchings around window frames etc fitted and repainted into swallow livery. Full prototypical LED lighting, including the ability to turn off rear marker lights when pulling a train. Cab interior lights. Working roof fans via a simple voltage regulator circuit connected to a reprogrammed function output. Zimo large scale sound chip with Paul Chetter sound file, fully programmed and integrated with a Peter Clark smoke unit, smoke produced is relative to engine sounds. JLTRT ETH equipment, Shawplan nameplates, Fox Transfers and many scratch built details by myself.
